Another popular beach spot close to Raleigh is The Outer Banks (OBX). Known for it's great food, public beaches, and plenty to do, the OBX has long been a popular tourist spot.


Heading a few hours West of Raleigh you will end up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. With plenty of outdoor activities including white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, or kayaking, there are plenty of different activities. If you prefer a more relaxing trip the Blue Mountains has a lot to offer as well. With great shopping, local wineries and plenty of beautiful scenery there is plenty to see and do.


With the ocean to the East and mountains to the West it is easy to see why Raleigh's geographic location is one of the many reasons why the Raleigh real estate market is stronger then ever. No matter where you are relocating from, Raleigh has a lot offer.
